HA! Love this photo. That's the kind of washing machine my mom had when I was a tot. Once she ran her hand through the ringer and had to reverse it to get it out.. OUCH!

Who I am ...

I am a born and raised Midwesterner. I am surrounded by farms, corn and soybean fields. While I love the beauty those farm fields and barns provide, my heart lays with the Appalachian Mountains. I find incredible peace and relaxation there in "my" mountains.
I am an empty nest wife, mom and grandma that God has blessed beyond measure. I have been married to my best friend for 34 years and have 3 wonderful grown sons, 3 beautiful daughter-in-laws that are much more like daughters than "in-laws" and five fantastic grandchildren - 2 boys and 3 girls with one more due to arrive during the month of August.
I blog about my faith, family, cooking, quilting, crafting, motorcycling, gardening and pretty much anything else that pops in my head. My blog, my rules, right?
I am a definite work in progress that God continues to mold and refine making me into the woman He desires for me to be!

Words to live by...

*The right thing is not always the easy thing but it's still the right thing.

*God has blessed me with more than I need. I'm rich! I will NOT trust in my riches but in Him who richly provides!
