A while back I mentioned I was working on some projects I couldn’t show yet as they were gifts. This quilt was one of them.
This is for a great young couple in our church who are expecting their first child, a boy in early September. The shower was on Saturday.
I had a hard time getting a decent picture of it. The colors look so washed out.
I prefer a not so plain quilt back. I had a leftover square from the front so added that to the back to brighten it up. I quilted it myself which I haven’t done much of so I used straight line and outline quilting and left it at that. I actually kind of like it. It’s not so stiff like quilts can get with a lot of quilting.
This was my first attempt at a computer printed label. Hopefully it will last and not wash out right away.
The red fabric was cute but the stripe was my favorite and the best part was I found it in my stash!
Great pictures! I bet little W will love it and I'm sure mom & dad do, too. :) Nice quilting!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great looking quilt. I really like how you added some of the blocking to the back. Such a great gift. Thanks for sharing. Blessings, SusanD
