August sky

You’re all probably getting tired of my sky pictures but I love taking pictures of sunrises and sunsets and the beauty and colors God throws our way through them.

This mornings sky was exceptional.  As the sun was coming up, the living room was literally cast with an orange glow.  We had a little fog to go along with the sunrise to make it even more mysterious.

So much lighter out but the fog was still hanging in the bottom of the field.

  1. Beautiful shots Lori---I'll never get tired of the sunrise pictures (because there's no way I'd willingly be up to see them regularly!)

  2. Both are really pretty, Lori. Just what the midwest looks like this time of the year. :-)

  4. Now I see what I might have missed. I was sleeping at 5:45 and at 6:30, but I was up a little before 7:00 AM,
    Thanks for sharing.

  6. Even our beach sunrises aren't that beautiful! What is it I can see in the distance of the 2nd photo?

  7. Beautiful pictures. We don't get tired of them. The sky here looks pretty threatening about 5:45, and then a light rain began.

  11. I never get tired of sky pictures. Sunsets are my favorite and I used to find myself traveling at the perfect time. I always thanked God for "painting" the pictures for me. I really felt like sometimes they were painted just for me because He knew I was tired of driving and needed some inspiration!
