Just one more sign of fall

I came outside to this yesterday morning...

We received our first good frost yesterday morning. I guess this means I need to get my act together and start the car a little earlier in the mornings.

Once again, I love fall but don't even want to consider what comes next...

...and I'm not referring to the sledding in this picture. It's the white stuff you need to have to use a sled that I'm trying not to think about. I'm going to live in denial as long as I can and that's all there is to it!

  1. Lori there's this wonderful little gadget that you can have installed on your car that allows you to stand in your house, push a button, and the car motor starts! For a few measly bucks you can bask in the warmth of your living room, or office, push a button, and in a couple of minutes jump into a warm car! I had it put on my car 5 years ago and it was worth every penny! blessings, marlene

  2. I second what Marlene says. When we used to rent, and park outside, I had a remote start on my vehicle. It was WONDERFUL! Just make sure you leave your heater and fan blower on (and wipers). You push a button on your remote, and sit down and drink some more coffee. If you don't get going when you think you will, your vehicle will shut itself off after a certain number of minutes. If you leave your vehicle unlocked, and you are afraid of someone messing with it, the minute they put their foot on the brake, it turns itself off too. It is nice for when you are visiting someone too, and you want the car to be warm before you go home at night. Since we have moved to our house, which has an attached garage, I don't have one anymore, but if I had to park outside, I wouldn't hesitate! I can't say enough good about them.

As for the snow picture, is that grandpa with your baby girl?

    Have a great week!

  3. If you got frost it can't be far behind for us. I guess i'm wierd because I love winter. Well, I love the beautiful snowfalls, not the ugly slush and black ice.

  5. Hasn't frosted here yet-but I have enjoyed the cooler weather. Why don't you see if you can send me some of that white stuff this winter when you get tired of it. I love a big snow-because we don't usually get one. I'm sure I'd be tired of it all the time.
