It seems like we have ridden the motorcycle so little this summer compared to other years. It was either too beastly hot or we had something going on socially or physically that we couldn’t.
I was so hoping for a ride on Sunday but the day started out so cold and rainy that I pretty much wrote off the idea. It was one of those dreary kind of days that makes a person feel like taking a nap, so I did!
About an hour into my nap, DH pulled my covers off and pronounced it beautiful out and told me to get my gear on, we were going for a ride. Yea!
The sun had come out and it had warmed up, sort of. It might have warmed up from morning but let’s just say I was thankful I put the longies on under my jeans.
The corn is drying.
The soybeans are dropping their leaves.
The trees are just starting to turn.
The shadows get long much earlier in the evening
and as the sun sets behind us, it’s gets cold really fast.
Yes, the signs of Fall! I love it!
Fall is definitely missed here. Love your photos - particularly the one where your shadows are visible on the field.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the leaves are changing really fast all of a sudden! I still want more of the sunny, 70 degree fall! But I too love the colors of fall.
ReplyDeleteFall is my Favorite season---so beautiful, the fulfillment of a summer's worth of work and growth--the fruits of labor. Love the last picture, awesome job catching the sun setting in the mirror!
ReplyDeleteWe have had rain rain and then some more rain. It's got me a little worried about what kind of snow we're going to have this year! Glad you got out for your ride : )
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your ride. You are right. Rides this year were few. I'm glad we went on vacation with our bike, or I might not have gotten much riding in at all!
ReplyDeleteMe too! My surroundings look just like yours. I am sure looking forward to our Sat. We will be on vacation the week of that, but will return on Friday. I need the fellowship and don't know a better group of gals to spend some time with.
