Better late than never, right?

I knew I had been neglectful of my blog for a long time but just realized today as I was looking through some old pics that I never posted pictures of the quilts I made for the kids last Christmas.  The lighting isn’t very good but you’ll get the jist.

They first two are winter type prints but not so over the top that they can’t leave them out all year long.  You have to look hard to see the snowflakes at first glance. Smile  I love, love, love the fabrics in both of these.

This last one obviously isn’t a winter print.  Our oldest is very much into collecting old Minneapolis Moline tractors so it seemed appropriate to make something that resembles the side panel of those tractors.

They were all very simple big block designs patterns which I prefer to look at and to work with.  Unfortunately, these were the last quilting project I’ve completed.  I’ve got tons of ideas percolating and even a couple of projects in different phases but nothing even close to being finished [sigh].  I even have a great craft area now which I’ll show you in a future post so I really have no excuse other than time.  Isn’t that always the way?  or am I alone in that?  :)

  1. The quilts are all great! Quilting isn't fun if you don't have time so you have the best excuse! When I don't have time, quilting never seems to go right so I think you should just wait until you can relax and sew. Hope you have a great week! ~Jeanne

  2. Hi, Just found your blog thru Osage Bluff Quilter. I love the mountains too! I'm very fortunate to have lived here in western NC mountains for most of my life. I've enjoyed looking at your pictures.
I'm searching for "the perfect" quilt design for my 2 yo grandson. I think I've gotten myself overwhelmed by all of them.

  3. Hi, I am so excited to meet you. I am a retired wife, mom and grandma, just enjoying life and catching up on some of the fun things that I never had time for when I was working. I'm a quilter "want-to-be" and starting off with a few small projects. At the moment I'm in the thought pattern of purchasing fabric for a baby quilt for my soon to be grand nephew. You are an inspiration :) I would love to have you come visit my blog and I would be over joyed if you were to follow me back. One of the things that like about blogging, is meeting new friends with common interests.

  4. That Minneapolis/Moline one is very creative! All the quilts are pretty. I stick to simple designs also--mostly blocks like you use. And yes, better late than never. thanks for sharing the work you do.
