"B" is for Barn.
I've always had a thing for old barns.
I see so many of them being torn down, including the one in this picture.
More folks are moving to country and if they don't have livestock, a barn is just another large building to keep up. Some let them just rot away while others tear them down and maybe put a metal shed in its place.
One of my favorite parts of driving through the Wisconsin countryside is seeing all the old barns. Just make me think of simpler times that I long for. We have two gorgeous barns on our place, though they are badly in need of painting. Even as rough as they are, I just love seeing them every day. :)
ReplyDeleteMy parents had property in Minnesota with an old barn on the place. Recently the new owners had it torn down and it was like losing a family member. I found you from the Challenge and look forward to visiting again. Great blog here!
ReplyDeleteI love old barns too! My grandparents have a farm in Idaho and their old barn is awesome. I can't stop taking pictures of it.
ReplyDeleteI am fascinated by the idea of barns, mainly because I have never been to one in person. It could be easily developed into a loft if they're not using it. To each their own I guess :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see an old barn I just want to pull over and takes pictures. They are just so beautiful, even if the poor thing is falling down.
